Son of Pride with No Purpose: Comfort Food
He doesn't even know how much time had passed, all he knew is training had all but ceased suddenly and out of the blue but he had a clue as to why. It wasn't like he saw his parents much lately, he knew it was effecting Charlie but unlike him, she decided to put most of her time into her relationship which was fine. It made her happy or at least she seemed in better spirits. They did agree to put time in so they could hang out every now and again, and so far they've done that. Maybe twice or three times through out the week they'd hang out and to no one's surprise not even his own, did they decide to hang out away from the house. It just made it more real, everything else anyway. They barely saw their parents but it wasn't for the lack of trying and both he and Charlie tried to make excuses, that maybe the split was effecting them. But as time went on, Lucius stopped making excuses and starting throwing blame at them instead. Their heartbreak or anger wasn't a good enough excuse to

The next few years seem to fly by for them, and it seemed like an odd pattern was starting to form. Every two weeks the two would swap places, Charlie would spend time with her dad and he spend time with his mom. Then every other week after they'd take turns both spending time with one of their parents and vice versa. It didn't take much but it was clear they we're spending less time together apart from after lessons and training. Lucius noticed, he knows Charlie did too but played it off like nothing was wrong. What else could they do, talking to them was clearly not an option as they'd change the subject or focus them on something else. Lucius didn't mind training if he we're honest. Though he knew his dad would slack every now and again, he wondered how often he and Charlie would train when she'd spend time with him. He tried his best to ask about how him and mom we're doing and he'd say they we're dealing with things but fine, his mom would give a similar reply. "We're fine." was

They we're twelve when they noticed the tension. He had no issue protecting and keeping his sister safe, demons we're assholes. Sinners weren't any better at times. Maybe that was why the exterminations didn't hit him as hard as they hit his sister. She loved her people, and he did too but his love wasn't as deep as it was for his people. As his father said, they're sinners. They'll die eventually and extermination day was the biggest guarantee of that, it sucked having to hear it. At first mom and dad would comfort us, assure is that things would be better in the morning. Dad may have went a bit overboard though, that at the end of the day these we're bad sinners and maybe it wasn't so bad for them to die again. I think that's when I noticed it, the odd glare from my mom. She didn't like how he talked down to sinners and she did her best to suede the conversation. They we're people once, people who had their reasons for doing some of the things they did. Sure maybe they weren't all

"Well that explains a lot, no wonder you we're bigger." The King exclaimed, earning a glare from the tired queen. "Excuse me, mind saying that again love." She rasped out. The king quickly caught himself before chuckling." I apologize hun, I didn't mean it like that hun, but on a better note, isn't this great. We got a little adorable prince and an equally adorable princess. Seems like we we're blessed, don't you think?" He told her trying to lead the conversation somewhere else. "I suppose this is a blessing, but- look Lucifer, I am glad they're born happy and healthy but twins have always had a bad outcome, I don't want it to be like you and Mi-" She was quickly cut off. "It won't, I'll make sure of it. They'll be the best of friends.. Better then me and him we're." He quickly replied in an almost saddened tone. "I won't let it turn into that, they'll be great for each other, just wait and see." He told her, his tone perking up a little more." Now these adorable little babies
